Several promotions within First Western Bank & Trust

Tom Larson has been promoted to senior vice president of ag and commercial lending at First Western Bank & Trust. Larson is a N.D. native, who graduated from the University of North Dakota with a bachelor’s degree in banking & finance. He has served in many capacities for NDBA Ag Committee and on the Minot Chamber Ag Committee. Larson has been with First Western since January 1989.

Brad Stai has been promoted to vice president and trust officer at First Western Bank & Trust. Stai is a Minot native and graduated from the University of North Dakota with a bachelor’s degree in business and has received his CTFA designation. Stai has been with First Western since January 2014, and is located in the Dakota Square office in Minot.

Jersey Benson has been promoted to vice president of commercial lending & business banking manager. Benson is a Minot native, who graduated from Minot High School and the University of North Dakota with a bachelor’s degree in banking and financial economics. Benson is involved in the Souris Basin Planning Council Loan Committee. He began his career with First Western Bank & Trust in 2011.

Chad Schmidt has been promoted to trust officer. He is a Minot native, who graduated from Minot High School and the University of North Dakota with a bachelor’s degree in history, and Teachers College Columbia University with a master’s degree in social studies. Schmidt has been with the bank since November of 2017

Kevin Bohl has been promoted to vice president of commercial lending & consumer banking manager. Bohl is a Towner native, who graduated from Minot State University with a bachelor’s degree in business education. He is also a graduate of the Dakota School of Banking and Graduate School of Banking in Colorado. He began his career with First Western Bank & Trust in 1997.

Sabrina Herrmann has been promoted to marketing specialist & community relations officer. Herrmann is a Minot native, who graduated from Minot High School and Minot State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in science of management. She has been with First Western since October 2014.
