Submitted Photo Derek Blasing of Westlie Motor Company recently took part in a seminar for dealers in Dearborn, Michigan. Ford Motor Company conducted the four days of meetings and facility tours, which focused on customer satisfaction. Here Derek Blasing receives congratulations from Andrew Frick, Ford Motor Company, Director of Marketing Sales & Service, U.S.

Derek Blasing of Westlie Ford in Minot participated in an intensive, four-day seminar for automotive dealers in Dearborn, Michigan, sponsored by Ford Motor Company.

The seminar discussed ways to meet or exceed customer expectations every time they visit the dealership for parts, service or to buy or lease a new or used vehicle.

Ford executives personally worked with dealers from around the country on a variety of programs designed to support a strong customer focus as well as dealership operations and leadership.

As part of the seminar, dealers toured an assembly plant to see how quality is built into every new Ford vehicle, that process assisted by Ford management and UAW workers sharing common goals and encouraging teamwork.

“Attending this seminar gave me a great feeling about being part of the Ford Motor Company family,” said Blasing. “It helped me better understand how closely the company and the dealers are connected in doing a great job for the people who drive the products we sell and service.”

Blasing is a graduate of Northwood University and is a key manager at Westlie Motor Company.
