Trinity Health has announced that Dr. Madhu Unnikrishnan, a medical oncologist and hematologist, has joined its physician team at the Trinity CancerCare Center.

Unnikrishnan provides care for cancer patients utilizing cancer-fighting therapies such as chemotherapy, hormone therapy, and immunotherapy. He’s also knowledgeable in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the blood and blood forming organs.

A graduate of B.J. Medical College, Pune, India, he completed residency training in Internal Medicine at Albert Einstein School of Medicine/Jacobi Medical Center, Bronx, NY, and did his fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Cleveland, Ohio. He also holds a master’s degree in pathology from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center, Oklahoma City.

A member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, the European Society of Medical Oncology, and the American Association of Cancer Research, Unnikrishnan is board certified in internal medicine and board eligible in hematology/oncology.
