Magi Crochet Club members from Minot High School and other experienced crocheters from the Minot area are offering one-on-one crochet instruction during the Midsummer Festival at the Scandinavian Heritage Park. The Minot Symphony Orchestra will host its first Beat Beethoven 5K on Saturday, July 27, at 5:50 p.m. at Minot’s Oak Park. According to MSO information, people are invited to walk, run or jog the 5K before the final note of Beethoven’s “5th Symphony” is played. This will be about 30 minutes. Those who cross the finish line before the final note is played will earn the title of having officially “Beat Beethoven.” They will also receive a voucher for a free ticket to a select concert in the MSO’s upcoming 100th anniversary season.
