Souris Valley Animal Shelter will host its annual spaghetti fundraiser featuring a pet fashion show on Thursday, Nov. 13, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Sleep Inn & Suites Conference Center in Minot. The event is officially titled “Spay’ghetti & No Balls Dinner + Pet Fashion Show.”

Proceeds benefit the shelter’s Spay-it-Forward Discount Voucher Program, which helps low-income families afford spay and neuter surgeries. Participating veterinary clinics include Severson-Ahart Community Clinic, West Oaks Animal Hospital, and Pinkerton Animal Hospital, which honor the vouchers to support responsible pet care and reduce overpopulation.

Within a typical month, the shelter takes in between 30 and 40 animals, including both dogs and cats. Adoption applications are processed within three to five business days, and if approved, the shelter schedules a meet-and-greet to support a healthy and happy placement.

More than 6 million pets enter U.S. shelters each year, and half are euthanized due to overpopulation. Spaying and neutering remain the most effective way to prevent this ongoing crisis.

Advance ticket purchases are encouraged, and an online form is available to register pets for the fashion show portion of the fundraiser. Friendly paws are welcome.

Starting at $2.99/week.
