The Ward County Sheriff’s Department released a statement July 29 addressing various videos and social media posts showing an object being thrown at Luke Bryan near the end of his concert at the North Dakota State Fair on July 26.

The videos circulating on social media show Bryan performing at the last concert of the State Fair, being struck in the face by an object thrown from the crowd. Bryan briefly stopped singing before continuing.

According to the statement, the item is suspected to have been a foam stress ball.

“There is currently no active criminal investigation for this incident. We currently do not have a complaint filed by Luke Bryan or any authorized representative and there is no information on a possible subject that may have thrown the item,” the statement concluded.
