Artist change for tonight’s Arts in the City at Carnegie Library

Chris Basden to Play Sunday Arts in the City

Despite snow and wind, the Minot Area Council of the Arts and Minot Public Library will still host their final Arts in the City event today, Sunday, Dec. 5, at 6 p.m.

Scheduled performer Jessie Veeder is unable to make the event, but will instead perform at one of the 2022 Arts in the City – Sundays at the Library events. Instead, local musician Chris Basden will be wrapping up the 2021 Arts in the City series.

“We’re disappointed that Jessie couldn’t make tonight’s event, but couldn’t have asked for a better back-up,” said Justin Anderson, executive director of the Minot Area Council of the Arts. “Chris is an incredibly talented and engaging performer and I’m excited to showcase his talents.” Basden will share some of his own music as well as some well-known songs. In addition to live music, the Minot Area Council of the Arts will also have art from featured artist Hannah Auer.

This event is being held at the Carnegie Center in downtown Minot and Anderson said there is a handicap accessible entrance on the west side of the building for anyone who’d prefer not to use the stairs.

For more information about this event or others follow the Minot Area Council of the Arts on Facebook or Instagram, visit www.minotarts.org, or call the Minot Public Library at 852-1045.
