Bacon and Brew at the Zoo set for Thursday

Eloise Ogden/MDN Roosevelt Park Zoo is the site for Bacon and Brew at the Zoo, a Greater Minot Zoological Society fundraising event being held Thursday evening.

Seventeen local vendors will have bacon-inspired dishes ready for sampling at Bacon and Brew at the Zoo, a Greater Minot Zoological Society fundraising event, on Thursday at Roosevelt Park Zoo.

Food vendors have been paired with those providing 4-ounce samples of beer, including one table with wine samples, said Jennifer Kleen, executive director of the zoological society. A cash bar will also be available.

Food and brew sampling will be from 6-9 p.m.

Live music will be provided from 6:30-10 p.m. by Balderdash (Kyle Baarstad and Mick Soiseth).

A zoo members hour will begin at 5 p.m. when members can explore the zoo.

This is the seventh year of Bacon and Brew. Last year the event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kleen said Bacon and Brew is the zoological society’s major fundraising event.

Tickets are $50 each and available at the door or on the zoo’s website at rpzoo.com.

Starting at $2.99/week.
