Baptist Boys coming to Sibyl Center in Stanley

Submitted Photo

The Baptist Boys will perform at the Sibyl Center this Sunday at 3 p.m.

The Baptist Boys have been singing and playing together for a number of years after originating at First Baptist Church in Tioga. Members Jim Booth, David Rust, Jon Wisthoff, and Larry Nelson all sing solos and harmony with Booth and Rust on acoustic guitar, Wisthoff on mandolin, and Nelson on bass.

The Baptist Boys repertoire consists of mostly classic gospel songs emphasizing the Good News of the gospel. They have performed for church groups, community events, and gospel festivals including the Frozen Fingers Festival in Minot, the Missouri River Bluegrass and Old-Time Music Festival at the Cross Ranch State Park, the International Country Gospel Festival at the International Peace Gardens, the North Dakota State Fair, and the Praise on the Prairie Festival near Hazen. Admission is by suggested donation of $10 at the door.

The Sibyl Center strives to follow health recommendations through sanitizing of the facility, providing the opportunity for social distancing, and masks for those who wish to observe those precautions.
