Minot Camera Club announces annual contest winners
The Minot Camera Club announced the four winners of their annual photograph competition.
In total, 111 photographs were submitted digitally for the 2019-2020 contest. Photographers that placed in the monthly contests were put through to the year-end competition to compete for best of show.
Tande Photography was in charge of judging all of the entries to find the winners of the monochrome, color and altered reality divisions. Out of those three, the recipient of the best of show award is also chosen.
The winner of the color division was Richard Debertin from Berthold/Bottineau. He submitted his photo titled “Metigoshe Sunset.” He also received the best of show award with the same piece.
The monochrome division was won by “Inside Piano” taken by Tony Meiers of Minot.
Erich Linser is also from Minot, who took first place in the altered reality division.
Those who made it to the final competition as runner-ups were recognized, as well. They include Tim Zeltinger of Glenburn, Kathryn Debertin of Berthold/Bottineau, and Betty Nordstrom of Minot.
Other awards were given to members of the Minot Camera Club for other achievements. Carol Crowdus from Minot was given an award for the Eileen McEown Outstanding Member of the Year. Nordstrom was recognized as Photographer of the Year. The Lisa Eriksmoen Outstanding N4C Member of the Year award was given to Zeltinger.
In a press release, Nordstrom included the officers for the 2020-2021 season: President Linser, Vice President Richard Debertin, Secretary Meiers, Treasurer Nikki Paulsen and N4C Chairman Zeltinger.
The category divisions have been announced for the new season, as well. They are: open, macro, moving water, nighttime, cloud formations, travel, and trees.
