Zoo staff remembers Amur leopard

The Roosevelt Park Zoo staff is deeply saddened to announce the passing of one of its rarest and most beloved residents, Clover, the zoo's 16-year-old female Amur leopard. According to zoo information, following a compassionate decision made to prioritize her comfort and quality of life, Clover was peacefully euthanized on Tuesday, June 30. Governor declares severe June storm disaster

BISMARCK – Gov. Kelly Armstrong today declared a statewide disaster for severe storms in early June that caused an estimated $4.6 million in damage to electrical infrastructure and also damaged homes, farms and businesses in North Dakota. June had average temp of 63.2 degrees

The past month of June had an average temperature of 63.2 degrees which is 0.3 degrees above the 119-year, long-term average of 62.9 degrees, according to Austin Kraklau of the North Central Research Extension Center, south of Minot. Kraklau said the lowest temperature of the month was 44 degrees, which occurred on June 20, and the high was 93 degrees on June 8. Narcotics arrest made in southwest Minot

The Minot Police Department and Ward County Narcotics Task Force arrested two individuals Wednesday, July 1, at the Circle K gas station in southwest Minot in connection with an ongoing narcotics investigation, according to the police department.
