June had average temp of 63.2 degrees
The past month of June had an average temperature of 63.2 degrees which is 0.3 degrees above the 119-year, long-term average of 62.9 degrees, according to Austin Kraklau of the North Central Research Extension Center, south of Minot.
Kraklau said the lowest temperature of the month was 44 degrees, which occurred on June 20, and the high was 93 degrees on June 8.
He said the total moisture for the month was 4.97 inches, which is 1.76 inches above the long-term average of 3.21 inches.
Currently for the year from January through June there have been 7.70-inches of moisture, which is 1.10-inches below the long-term average of 8.80-inches of moisture for this time period, Kraklau said.
