Minot firefighters responded to the report of a residential structure fire in the 1300 block of 37th Avenue Southeast at 8:41 p.m., Friday, Feb. 27. According to the Minot Fire Department, upon arrival, crews discovered a fire burning behind the framing of a wood-burning fireplace. Firefighters worked to remove the framing around the fireplace to access and extinguish the fire. The fire was contained to the fireplace area of the home. No injuries were reported.
