ALEXANDER - Fire departments from Alexander and Williston responded to a fire in the oilfield northwest of Alexander on Saturday.
According to the Williston Fire Department, at 11:40 a.m. firefighters from that department were dispatched to the site in McKenzie County. Initial reports said an explosion occurred at the site.
Two ambulances and a command vehicle responded. A short time later, a fire engine from Williston was dispatched to assist the Alexander Fire Department.
No injuries requiring ambulance transportation to the hospital were reported. The Williston units were at the scene until about 1:10 p.m.
