No one was injured when a single engine aircraft crashed northeast of Minot Friday.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol said the plane had mechanical issues when it crashed about 4:25 p.m. The pilot landed the plane in an open field near 55th St. NE and 19th Ave. NE. A passenger also was in the plane.
The Highway Patrol said the plane received minor damage during the landing.
The crash remains under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration. Other assisting agencies include Ward County Sheriff's Office, Minot Police Department, Minot Community Ambulance and Minot Rural Fire Department.
