Farm Rescue, the North Dakota-based nonprofit organization, delivered its first load of hay on Monday to Nebraska flood victims, according to Dan Erdmann, Farm Rescue marketing communications director.
The organization recently activated its "Operation Hay Lift" to haul livestock feed to Nebraska ranchers affected by the flooding.
Erdmann said, in an email on Wednesday, the organization has been getting many calls from North Dakotans and from people in states out of Farm Rescue territory wondering where they can deliver hay.
"As long as funding allows and hay donations keep coming in, we hope to keep a few trucks on the road," he said.
On Thursday, Farm Rescue reported nine trucks filled with donated hay for Nebraska would be leaving Dickinson on Saturday to deliver hay to a drop off site in Fullerton, Neb., on Sunday morning.

Affected ranchers are asked to fill out applications for hay hauling assistance to be processed on a first-come, first-served basis, according to Farm Rescue information.
People can apply for assistance, sign up to be a volunteer CDL driver or make a monetary donation by visiting farmrescue.org or call 389-1024.
