Pru Bray, 19, Minot, was sentenced to 10 days in jail and given a deferred imposition of sentence for three years on Dec. 26 for stealing $35,000 from the Victoria's Secret store where she worked.
Court records show that restitution in the case has been reserved for 90 days.
If Bray successfully completes the terms of the sentence, the Class B felony charge will be dismissed.
Bray had been working at the Victoria's Secret store since May 2017, according to the probable cause affidavit filed with the court. The theft was reported by the store in June. Bray admitted to taking the property out of the store in bags or wearing merchandise under her clothing. She also made false transactions. She sold some of the items at rummage sales and gave away other items as gifts. She returned items valued at $15,389.11 after she was caught.
Bray was ordered to serve her sentence at the Ward County Jail and was taken into custody on Dec. 26.
