NEW TOWN - The North Dakota Highway Patrol has indentified two people killed in a vehicle crash near New Town early Friday as David Wilcox, 28, of Tempe, Arizona, and Taylor Denny, 22, of Phoenix, Arizona.
The man and woman died after their vehicle was struck by a semi truck on the U.S. Highway 23 Business Loop about 6:33 a.m.
The semi was driven by Douglas Landis, 63, of Dagmar, Montana, who was not injured. Landis was traveling east on the business loop and lost control on the snow-covered road as he was negotiating a curve. The semi crossed the center line, striking the westbound pickup driven by Wilcox head on.
