Minot man retires after 54 years with Pietsch Aircraft

Eloise Ogden/MDN Gary I. Johnson, second from left, was honored Thursday with a retirement party in recognition of his 54 years with Pietsch Aircraft Restoration and Repair in Minot. A mechanic, he began employment at Pietsch Flying Service, the Pietsch family business, on Feb. 20, 1964, as an aircraft technician. Johnson has repaired numerous aircraft over the years and restored many of them.
