A jury trial is scheduled for Jan. 3, 2018, for a 44-year-old Minot woman who is accused of stealing more than $200, 000 from More Properties, LLC when she was employed there as property manager.

Nicole Irene Kajune is charged with Class A felony theft of property and could face up to 20 years in prison and up to $20,000 in fines. She allegedly stole the money between September 2014 and October 2016, according to court documents.

Kajune allegedly changed the accounting books to show that rent had been paid for when the rent checks had not been deposited in the property company's bank account. She also allegedly paid only a portion of her son's rent each month, but altered accounting records to show that the rent had been paid in full.

Larry Louser, the president of More Properties, Inc., reported the alleged thefts in January 2017. Kajune had been fired in October 2016.

The presiding judge in the case is Judge Thomas Schneider.
