The Tioga-based gospel group The Baptist Boys will perform at the Sybil Center in Stanley tomorrow starting at 3 p.m.

The group consists of four members and originated at the First Baptist Church in Tioga before moving on to performing around North Dakota. All four members sing while each has their own instrumental addition to their sound. Jim Booth and David Rust each play acoustic guitar while Jon Wisthoff plays mandolin and Larry Nelson plays bass.

The Baptist Boys have an arrangement of music they perform, mostly singing classic gospel songs. They travel all around to perform for church groups, community events, and gospel festivals such as the local Frozen Fingers Festival. They have performed at the Missouri River Bluegrass and Old Time Music Festival as well as at the International Peace Garden for their International Country Gospel Festival.

In 2008, the Baptist Boys recorded its first CD that they named “Just a Little While.”
