TIOGA - The Bank of Tioga has partnered with the Nueta Hidatsa Sahnish College, chartered by the Three Affiliated Tribes of the Fort Berthold Reservation, in gifting $1,500 toward technology and classroom needs in the college's Student Success Center.
NHCS provides cultural, academic and vocational education and services for the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation.
Additionally, Joy Sparks, TS Institute financial literacy coordinator, conducts quarterly lunch and learn presentations that are open to all students and staff in the Nueta Hidatsa Sahnish College Student Success Center. She provides workshops each semester for new students.
Financial literacy is one of the core values at The Bank of Tioga and a reason for its support of TS Institute. TS Institute is made possible by The Bank of Tioga's mission to reinvest 10 percent of its pre-tax income back into the community. The non-profit was created in 2009 to collaborate with school districts and promote financial literacy, with a goal to provide a robust curriculum program to students, in grades K-12, with knowledge to make sound financial decisions.
TS Institute also conducts financial training for non-profit organizations and hosts various community events. To learn more visit https://nhsc.edu/ and thebankoftioga.com/about-us/financial-literacy.html.
