Williston woman injured in crash following police chase

KILLDEER – A 20-year-old Williston woman sustained serious injuries when her vehicle failed to negotiate a curve north of Killdeer Saturday during a high-speed chase with tribal police.
Miranda Holm was transported by ambulance to a Dickinson hospital.
Holm was driving a Ford Fusion, exceeding the speed limit at more than 115 mph, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, which along with the McKenzie County Sheriff’s Department assisted the Three Affiliated Tribes Police Department. Tribal police had been pursuing the vehicle for about three miles in snowy weather when the vehicles went off the roadway and rolled at 11:13 p.m. The crash happened on N.D. Highway 22, about 20 miles north of Killdeer. Holm was not wearing a seatbelt and the airbag deployed, the Highway Patrol reported.
The Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
