State Archives offers book repair workshop

BISMARCK – A book repair workshop with the State Archives will be held in the classrooms of North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum, Bismarck, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. on Oct. 26.

Participants will learn how to repair books that have broken bindings, ripped out pages and more. The workshop will begin with State Archives staff explaining the process of book repair followed by staff helping workshop participants with their own books. The techniques presented are to make books serviceable and are not conservation tactics. Participants should bring one or two books in need of repair. A $10 fee includes all supplies. Register at book-repair.eventbrite.com.

The program, open to everyone, is offered in honor of American Archives Month.
