NDSU football game vs. South Dakota canceled

It was announced on Saturday that the Missouri Valley Football Conference had canceled the South Dakota-North Dakota State football game due to COVID-19 protocols.

Scheduled to take place at 1 p.m. at the DakotaDome in Vermillion, South Dakota on Saturday, the announcement was made a few hours before kickoff. The game will not be rescheduled.

Valley Football athletically related activities will take place only to the extent permitted by local environments and applicable national, state, local and institutional guidelines in order to safeguard the health and safety of participants, staff and fans.

Next up on the schedule, NDSU (5-1, 4-1) plans to host South Dakota State University (4-1, 4-1) on Saturday, April 3. Kickoff for that contest is slated for 2:30 p.m.
