NDHSAA announces plans for November statewide tournaments

In football news, the 2020 North Dakota High School Activities Association Dakota Bowl will be held November 13 at the Fargodome. Todd Olson, athletic director of Fargo Public Schools, will serve as tournament manager.

Attendance at the NDHSAA Dakota Bowl Football Championships will be limited to family and friends of the participating teams. There will be no general public ticket sales. The venue will be cleared after each game. Tickets will be sold through participating schools only, and all seating inside the dome will be reserved.

Masks will be required for all fans. Dakota Bowl coverage will be aired on the following television stations: WDAY -Fargo, WDAZ -Grand Forks, KBMY -Bismarck, KMCY -MinotDakota. The Division A State Championship will be played at 8:10 a.m, and the 9-man state championship will start 60 minutes after Division A final. Meanwhile, the Division AA State Championship will begin 60 minutes after 9-man final, and the Division AAA State Championship is set to kickoff 60 minutes after Division AA final.

Meanwhile, Class A and Class B volleyball state tournaments will also be held at the Fargodome on November 19-21 with Olson serving as tournament manager. Like the football tournament, attendance at the volleyball competition will be limited to family and friends of the participating teams, and there will be no general public ticket sales.

The venue will be cleared after each match, and all tickets will be three-day passes sold through participating schools only. Seating inside the dome will be reserved, and masks will be required. BEK-TV is televising all matches at the 2020 NDHSAA State Volleyball Tournament starting on Thursday, November 19 at 10:00 a.m.

For the girls state swimming and diving competition, the event will now be held as a one-day meet with timed and scored finals in all events at two sites. Masks will be required for all coaches, participants and workers.

The swimming portion of the meet will be held in two separate sessions on November 14 at the Hulbert Aquatics Center in West Fargo. The diving portion of the meet will be held November 14 at Fargo Davies High School. Jay DeCann, athletic director at West Fargo High School, will be the tournament manager.

There will be no fans allowed at either site of the 2020 NDHSAA Girls Swimming and Diving Meet. The NFHS Network will stream action at both venues of the 2020 NDHSAA Girls Swimming and Diving Meet. For more information on all these upcoming events, please visit https://www.ndhsaanow.com.
