State Radio experiences 9-1-1 call issues

State Radio dispatchers were notified this morning about Verizon callers experiencing connectivity issues when dialing 9-1-1 in areas in western North Dakota. Some using 9-1-1 have reported calls being dropped or being notified that all circuits are busy, according to the North Dakota Department of Emergency Services.

The department reports that callers should continue using 9-1-1, but if they continue to get a busy signal, they should use the State Radio administrative line at 701-328-9921.

The department will provide further updates once 9-1-1 connectivity has been fully resolved. The issues have not delayed dispatching emergency responders upon receiving information from callers.
