The Minot State men’s wrestling team were in striking distance late of capturing their second conference win of the season, but Minnesota State Moorhead won the final two matches of the night to solidify a 27-17 victory over the Beavers on Saturday, Feb. 7. After 10 Division I FCS championships and 12 Missouri Valley Conference titles, the North Dakota State University football team is embarking on a new challenge and a new chapter in their illustrious history. The Bison have finalized a deal to join the Mountain West Conference beginning in 2026, making the jump from the FCS ranks to the FBS. The Minot United boys wrestling team didn’t qualify for the state dual competition after dropping their first two duals at the WDA Tournament, falling to both Williston and Bismarck Century on Saturday, Feb. 7, at Starion Bank Gymnasium. Minot United – the No. 3 seed from Pool B – dropped a 47-17 decision to Williston in the quarterfinal round to drop into a loser-out match later in the day. Women’s Basketball: Furious 4th-quarter rally falls just short for Beavers

The Minot State women’s basketball team nearly erased an 19-point second-half deficit in a 74-71 loss to Minnesota Duluth on Saturday, Feb. 7, at the MSU Dome. The Beavers (10-15 overall, 7-11 NSIC) went into halftime trailing 44-25, but shot nearly 77 percent in the third quarter to cut the deficit down to 10 heading into the fourth quarter.
