Minot State sophomore Brayan Augustin led the way for the Beavers in their return to track and field competition on Saturday with the first record-setting performance of the new calendar year. Augustin, who also plays football for Minot State, took third in the men’s long jump on Saturday at the Marauders Indoor Opener hosted by the University of Mary, setting an NCAA Division II school record with a leap of 22 feet, 5 inches.
