The Minot High and Minot North boys swimming and diving teams jumped into the pool for the first time this season in a competitive event, traveling to Bismarck for the Capital City Invite at the Bismarck State Aquatic Center on Saturday, Dec. 20. The Magicians finished with a team score of 305.5 to place third and Tayson Solper took home the top dive of the event, garnering a score of 353.35 points. The Minot State men’s wrestling team won points in six matches, including three via pins, leading to a 32-18 victory over the University of Jamestown on Thursday, Dec. 18, for the Beavers’ first conference dual victory of the season. Cole Faircloth (125 pounds), John Armstrong (165) and Shafer Ehmke (197) all claimed victories in their matches by submission.
