Dickinson traveled to Minot to tackle the Majettes for continuation rights in Western Dakota Association (WDA) post season play, but were unable to bring enough of their best performance to advance to the tournament next week.

The Minot High ladies will be moving on after winning 3-0, a score they earned in the end with fair ease.

The game started with the Majettes on a roar taking an early step with a 10-1 lead to force a Dickinson timeout to adjust. Minot posted the 25-11 win in set one followed by a more competitive effort by the Lady Mavericks despite the 25-15 win by the Majettes in game two. Dickinson led for a time and swapped leads with Minot several times during the third game.

The final score in the end was 25-18 as the Majettes prepped for the win and to advance.

In cross state action, Williston in the eighth seed defeated St. Mary's as the ninth seed 3-1 to advance as the final team for next week.

The top seeded team at the WDA action on Thursday, November 12, will be the Century Lady Patriots as they take on the eight seed from Williston. The fourth seed from Bismark will face the fifth seed from Mandan in game two. As the second seed, the Jamestown ladies will host the seventh-seeded Minot while third seed Legacy will play sixth place Minot North in the final game of the day.

The Lady Sentinels faced Legacy in September on the road and again to start October at home with both games being 3-0 as Minot North lost each. Minot North ended the second contest with Legacy at 6-10 with improvements the latter half of the season and ended the year 14-15 with an 8-5 run down the wire.

Minot faced Jamestown at home in mid September and followed that with a trip to Jamestown to end October with both efforts going to Jamestown 3-0 on the court. The Majettes were 12-16 after the second effort and ended the season 14-17 as they prep for the WDA contests next week. Game one starts at 1 p.m. with each game played roughly 30 minutes after the previous game is completed.
