Weekend Football Update: Sentinels up 3-0, Lakers shut out Royals

Minot North 35, Grand Forks Red River 34
The Minot North Sentinels extended their undefeated streak this season with their victory over Grad Forks Red River on Friday, September 11.
Junior quarterback Zander Kleen completed a 31-yard pass to senior wide receiver Gavin Tobey to put the Sentinels first on the board on Friday night.
Senior Cooper Chick ran the ball 18 yards for Minot North’s second touchdown of the game in the second quarter to lead GFRR 14-2 at half time.
Kleen and Tobey scored another touchdown together, this time with a 21-yard pass in the third quarter.
The Sentinels scored once again in the fourth quarter, but the Roughriders were able to score three touchdowns, tying the game 28-28 at the end of the game.
The Roughriders were the first to score in overtime, but failed to convert, leaving them just 34-28.
The Sentinels scored a touchdown of their own in overtime, with Kleen completing an 11-yard pass to senior wide-receiver Cameron Jesz.
Sophomore Ephraim Boakye completed the extra point to secure the Minot North win at 35-34.
The Sentinels will face off against Fargo North on the road for their next game on Friday, September 18.
West Fargo 35, Minot 21
The Minot High Magicians will face off against Fargo Shanley at home for their next game on Friday night, September 18.
Stanley 36, Tioga 26
The Stanley Blue Jays took home their first victory of the season against the Tioga Pirates last week, and will look to improve their season record in their next game as they take on Bishop Ryan-Our Redeemer’s at Minot State University on Friday night, September 18.
South Prairie-Max 0, Des Lacs-Burlington 46
The Lakers shut out the Royals on Friday night 46-0 to improve their season record to 3-1. The Lakers will play Velva-Drake-Anamoose-Garrison for their next game on September 18. The Royals are still in search of their first win of the season as they take on Bottineau High School at home on the same night.

The Aggies are still undefeated at their win over Bottineau improved their record to 4-0 on the season. They will play Des Lacs-Burlington next Friday, September 18.
Bishop Ryan-Our Redeemer’s 12, Ray/Powers lake 20
The Lions earned their first loss of the season last Friday night as they fell 20-12 against Ray/Powers Lake. The Lions will look for redemption as they face off against Stanley High School on Friday, September 18.
