Sentinels snap four game skid with win over Sabers

The Minot North Sentinels boys soccer team had gone three straight weeks without a win on the pitch since their last victory against the Williston Coyotes on Tuesday, September 1.
Since that day, the Sentinels had lost three games in a row and tied their latest game against the Bismarck Demons.
On Tuesday, September 22, as the Sentinels took to the pitch to face the Legacy High School Sabers, they were looking to break that streak, and break it they did.
The Sentinels and the Sabers both had a tough first half, with the Sentinels being the only ones to secure a goal giving them a 1-0 lead at half time.
Not content with just a single goal buffer, the Sentinels worked their way to a 2-0 lead with a goal from senior Christian Guerrero in the last few minutes of the match.
With the Legacy Sabers unable to score a goal of their own, the Sentinels ended their four game skid and took home a victory for the first time in three weeks.
The Sentinels’ win improved their record to 5-5-2 on the season, their first even record since their loss to Dickinson.
The Sentinels will head back on the road for their next match as they take on the Century High School Patriots at the Bismarck Community Bowl on Thursday, September 24.
