Sentinels secure AA top spot, Magi still looking for first win

The Minot North Sentinels football team has continued their tear through the WDA Class AA football rankings with their 35-34 win over Grand Forks Red River on Friday night, September 11.
Minot North’s narrow win on Friday night set leaves them as just one of the few undefeated teams left in the WDA’s Class AA, and set them at the top of the rankings at this point the season.
The Sentinels will remain on the road for their next as they take on Fargo North on Friday, September 18.
The Minot High Magicians are still on the look out for their first win this season after their loss on Friday night, September 11, 21-35 against West Fargo.
West Fargo was able to drive the score up to 28-0 before the end of the first half, and the Magi were unable to completes their second half rally, dropping their third game in a row.
Though they are still currently winless, the Magi still have two thirds of their season left to turn their record into a winning one.
They will get their next shot on the field back at home for their first first home game since the season opener as they take on Fargo Shanley on Friday, September 18.
