The Minot North Sentinels are back to their winning ways, returning to a positive record with their shut out win over the Williston Coyotes on Tuesday, September 1.
The Sentinels got the game rolling halfway through the first half, with senior Christian Guerrero scoring a long shot goal with assistance from senior Logan Ovitt.
The first half of the game closed with the Sentinels up 1-0.
The Sentinels scored twice more in the second half. Junior Jayden Marshall scored Minot North’s second goal of the night in the 58th minute of play with assistance from Guerrero and freshman Anthony Winter Jr. was assisted by sophomore Jace Hoaglund as he scored their last goal of the evening in the 73rd minute.
Tuesday’s game was Minot North’s second shut out of the season and improved their record to 3-2-1 so far this year.
The Sentinels will next face the currently undefeated Mandan-St. Mary’s at home on Thursday, September 10.
