Magi maintain unbeaten streak in win over Demons

The Minot High Magicians are still unbeaten as they enter the final two weeks of the 2026 regular season.
The Magi nearly dropped their match against the Demons on Tuesday night, September 29, in a close 3-2 victory.
Senior Nolan Schmidt helped the Magi strike first, scoring with a header off of a corner kick in the 11th minute of the match with assist from senior Dylan Oswalt.
The Demons quickly responded with a goal of their own just a few minutes later, tying the game at 1-1 before half time.
The Demons quickly took their first half momentum into the second half, scoring just two minutes after returning to the pitch.
The two teams battles back and forth before the Magi were able to tie the game again in the 54th minute. Senior Tyson Solper scored for the Magi with assistance from senior David Rodriguez assisting.
The match seemed like it would end in the Magi’s third tie of the season, but with just six minutes remaining in the game, Rodrigues scored a goal of his own to give the Magi their lead back.
The game ended with the Magicians up 3-2, giving them their seventh win in a row and their 11th win this season.
The Magi will face off against Jamestown for their next match on the road on Thursday, October 1.
