Lundeen rushes for three touchdowns in Beavers first road game

The Minot State Beavers are still left wanting after another high scoring game left them just short of their first win of the season.
The Beavers traveled to Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD to face the Vikings for their first away game of the season.
Sophomore quarterback Jett Lundeen was the first to put points on the board, running the ball in on a one yard rush to give Minot State a 6-0 advantage over the Vikings.
Though the extra point failed, the Beavers went into the second quarter leading.
The Vikings struck back early in the second quarter, securing the extra point and leading at 7-6.
The Beavers and the Vikings traded touchdowns through the rest of the second quarter, with the Vikings closing out the half with their third touchdown of the game. The Beavers trailed the Vikings 20-21 at halftime.
Lundeen was once again the first to strike in the third quarter, rushing the ball for a one yard touchdown.
The Vikings scored two touchdowns in a row in the end of the third quarter and the start of the fourth quarter, putting them 35-27 over the Beavers.
The then secured their last points of the game on a field goal with just six minutes left on the game clock.
The Beavers scored just more to close out the game, with Lundeen scoring his third touchdown of the game on a two yard rush.
The failed extra point left the Beavers with another close loss at 33-38.
The Beavers fell to a record of 0-3 on the season and are still on the look out for their first win. They will have their next shot on Saturday, September 19, as they take on Southwest Minnesota State University at home.
