After two back to back high scoring games that had the Minot State football team come up just short at the end of the game, the Beavers are still on the look out for their first win of this season, and their next shot is going to be in Sioux Falls, SD against Augustana University this Saturday, September 12.
Heading into their third game of the season this year, the Minot State Beavers are already outperforming themselves from last year at the same point in the season.
Heading into their third game last season, the Beavers had only scored 23 points. This year, the Beavers have more than doubled that in their first two games, totaling 58 points across their first two games.
And though the Beavers lost their first two games of the season, the statistics for those two games already show significant improvement over last season.
The Beavers have taken much more space over the air this season, totaling 239 passing yards over the course of their two games, as opposed to their 525 total passing yards over the entire 2025 season.
The Beavers have also been making significant strides over the ground this season. averaging 343.5 rushing yards per game as compared to last season’s 287.0 average rushing yards per game.
The last time the Beavers and the Augustana University Vikings played was in the 2024 seas, where the beavers lost 7-20. Though the Beavers lost all but one of their six games against Augustana University since 2013, their offense this year is already looking stronger than they have in recent years, and they will be fighting for their first win of this season when kickoff begins at 1 p.m. this Saturday, September 12.
