Slug fest versus Larks closes out Tots’ Bismarck visit

The Minot Hot Tots and the Bismarck Larks played each other for the last time this season, closing out their four game series in Bismarck on Thursday night, August 6.

The Tots were the first ones on the board on Thursday night, netting a single run in the top of the first inning with an RBI by Aiden Yochim.

Both teams stayed scoreless through the next few innings until the Hot Tots struck again in the top of the fourth inning with a pair of RBIs by Joe DuSell and Alex Altmann, bringing themselves up to a 3-0 lead.

The Larks then swiftly responded, netting five run in the bottom of the fourth.

The Hot Tots quickly took their lead back in the top of the fifth, scoring six runs, including three from a three run home run by Alex Altmann.

The Larks netted another five run in the bottom of the fifth and the Hot Tots scored an additional four in the top of the sixth, bringing their lead to 13-10 heading into the seventh inning.

The seventh and eighth innings were scoreless for both teams, sending the Hot Tots to the top of the ninth inning with a three run lead at heading into the top of the ninth inning at deadline.

The Hot Tots will begin their final series of the 2026 regular season by facing off against the St. Cloud Rox in a pair of away games starting on Friday, August 7.
