Sentinels soccer maintains undefeated status in tie with Jamestown

The Minot North Sentinels boys soccer team maintained their undefeated status and their spot at the top of the WDA after tying the Jamestown Blue Jays at home on Thursday night, August 20.

Logan Ovitt got the games tarted late in the first half of play, firing the ball into the goal in the 39th minute of play with assistance from Jayden Marshall. The Sentinels led the Blue Jays 1-0 heading into half time.

The Blue Jays were quick to respond early in the second half, scoring a goal of their own in the 43rd minute of play.

The Sentinels took their lead back close to the end of the game, with Ovitt scoring his second goal of the night in the 77th minute, this time with assistance from. Anthony Winter Jr.

Just before the whistle could blow to end the match with a Sentinels victory, the Blue Jays tied the game back to 2-2 in the 79th minute with just eight seconds left on the clock.

Seconds later, the game concluded for the Sentinels’ first tie of the season.

The Sentinels will return to the pitch to face hometown rival Minot High Magicians on Tuesday, August 25.
