Minot High cheerleaders earn All American award at UCA camp

The Minot High cheer team had the opportunity to attend the Universal Cheerleaders Association camp to develop their skills in all things cheer.

The camp lasted from Monday, August 3, clear to Wednesday, August 5, and saw the cheerleaders work through eight hour days perfecting skill ssuch as safety awareness, stunt troubleshooting, leadership training and flexibility.

At the end of camp, the team received the Superior Award for their camp routines and the Superior Trophy for their hard work all through the week.

Fourteen individual members of the Minot High cheer leading team were presented the All American award, giving the awarded athletes the opportunity to participate in various special events around the country.

The Minot High cheer leading team is coached by Vytalli Klimpel, assisted by Shay Green and Angela Vergara.
