Hot Tots close season with losses at St. Cloud

The Hot Tots’ 2026 regular season came to a close with their final series on Friday, August 7, and Saturday, August 8, with losses to the St. Cloud Rox.
The Hot Tots and the Rox closed out the first game of their two games series on Friday with a 7-1 victory for the Rox.
The final game for the Hot Tots against the Rox this season on Saturday was just as tough as the day before.
The Rox got out ahead early, netting one run in the bottom of the first inning with a single run RBI.
The second inning saw the Rox pull even further ahead, securing another three runs in the bottom of the second inning.
St. Cloud took one more in the bottom of the third inning, giving them a 5-0 lead over the Hot Tots before Minot had a chance to send a player over the plate.
The Hot Tots scored their first runs of the game in the top of the seventh inning. An RBI single by Ryan Farias sent Jaxon Goldberg home for the Tots’ first run of the game. Then, Farias got the chance to make it home when Drew Reaves secured an RBI single into left field.
Unfortunately for the Hot Tots, they were unable to put any more runs on the board through the rest of the game.
The Rox scored two more runs before the end of the game, giving them the win over the Hot Tots at 7-2.
The Hot Tots closed out their season with a record of 13 wins 21 losses.
The Willmar Stingers and the St. Cloud Rox will represent the Great Plains West Division in the Northwoods League post season.
