Bottineau tied for third in girls golf East-West meet

The NDHSAA 2026 Girls Golf East-West Meet closed out their second round on Tuesday, August 11, at the Bully Pulpit Golf Course in Billings County.

The Bottineau Stars tied for third place overall after the conclusion of the second round, ending the event with an overall score of 739.

Senior Ellee Rybchinski was the top golfer for the Starts at the meet. She finished the first round with a score of ten over par and the second round just three over par. Rybchinski finished third individually with an overall score of 157, just one stroke behind the second place golfer.

The Des Lacs-Burlington Lakers girlfs golf team finished eighth overall with their final score of 812.

Freshman Lauryn Christianson was the Lakers’ top scorer after the end of the second round, finishing in fifth place individually with a final score of 165. She finished 15 over par at the end of the first round and was just six over par for the second round of play.

The Oak Grove Grovers took home first place overall with a final team score of 682 and their second seed golfer, junior Sylvie Brantner secured first place individually with a final score of 153. She was five over in the first round and four over in the second round.
