MPS selects Ali Beau Lac as Sentinels’ head softball coach

Minot Public Schools announced their selection of Ali Beau Lac as the new head coach of the Minot North Sentinels girls’ softball team in a release on Tuesday, July 28.
Beau Lac has nearly 15 years of softball coaching experience, including nine years spent coaching middle and high school kids as a part of Minot Public Schools. She comes to the new head coach position as head coach of Minot North’s junior varsity softball team.
“I am grateful for this opportunity to lead the Minot North softball program,” Beau Lac said in the statement released by Minot Public Schools. “I want to build a culture where athletes are challenged to grow as players, leaders, and teammates. By emphasizing skill development, mental performance, and strong relationships, my hope is to create an environment where every student-athlete can thrive and leave the program with confidence that extends beyond the game.”
Beau Lac will replace the Sentinels’ previous head coach, Roger Coleman.
Coleman led the Sentinels for their first three season of competition. Last season, the Sentinels softball team earned their first post season win, beating out Watford City in the WDA Tournament Play-In for the team’s first WDA Tournament berth. They are still on the hunt for their first visit to the state tournament.

"She brings a wealth of coaching experience, a passion for developing young athletes, and a clear vision for building a competitive program rooted in teamwork, confidence, and character. We look forward to seeing the positive impact she will have on our student-athletes."
