Vistas open season with home double header

The Minot Vistas kicked off their 2026 season by hosting a pair of game against the Devils Lake Storm at Corbett Field of Monday night, June 1.
The Vistas opened their first game of the night against the Storm with a 12-4 victory.
The Vistas got an early lead on Friday night, scoring five runs through the first three innings while allowing just one in the same amount of time.
The Storm brought the game close at 6-4 in the fifth inning, but the Vistas pulled far ahead in the bottom of the sixth, doubling their score to 12 runs.
The Vistas defense held out against the Storm in the top of the seventh, giving them the win at 12-4.
The second game of the night started out much slower, with the Storm scoring the one and only run of the first three innings in the top of the third.
The Vistas took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the fourth, but the Storm quickly too their lead back, scoring seven uncontested runs in the top of the fifth and sixth innings. The Vistas secured their third out in the top of the seventh inning with the Storm leading 3-8 at deadline.
The Vistas will next play the Regina White Sox on Friday, June 5, beginning at 3:15 p.m.
