Hot Tots’ late game come back falls short

The Minot Hot Tots closed out their pair of games against the Duluth Huskies on Friday night, June 12, with a 3-6 loss.
The Hot Tots took home a win the night before 3-2 on Thursday in Duluth, MN, but the Huskies got an early lead in the bottom of the first inning with four runs.
The Huskies picked up another run in the bottom of the second inning and the bottom of the seventh while keeping the Hot Tots scoreless.
The Hot Tots first put themselves on the board for the first time in the top of the eighth inning with a three-run RBI by Andrew Clapinski.
The Huskies cut Minot’s come back run short in the top of the eighth and prevented the Hot Tots from scoring in the top of the ninth.
The game ended with a Hot Tots strike out, giving the Huskies the win and splitting the two game series.
The Hot Tots will stay on the road for their next pair of games as they travel to play against the Badlands Big Sticks beginning on Saturday, June 13, and finishing on Sunday, June 14.
