The Des Lacs-Burlington Lakers dropped their quarterfinals match against the Kindred Vikings Thursday afternoon.

The Vikings took their time widening their lead through their quarterfinals game, earning single runs in the first, fourth and fifth innings before the Lakers could put a run on the board.

The Lakers tied the game in the top of the seventh, scoring three runs in three straight at bats.

The Lakers defense kept the Vikings at bay in the bottom of the seventh, but Kindred earned one more run in the bottom of the eighth to cement their victory.

The Vikings took the quarterfinal game 4-3.

The Lakers will play in the Loser-Out round on Friday, May 29.

The Velva-Drake/Anamoose Aggies were up 10-3 against the LaMoure/Litchville-Marion/Edgeley Loeboes in the top of the seventh inning on Thursday night at deadline.
