The Minot High softball team snapped a six-game losing streak and earned its first two conference wins in the process, sweeping Turtle Mountain, 10-0 and 17-3, on Wednesday, April 15.
The Majettes outhit the Braves 17-9 during the doubleheader. Their pitching staff of Fisher Anderson and McKenna Nygaard combined to strike out 17 batters across 14 innings of work.

Taryn Dalton led the Majettes with three RBIs, producing the first run of the game on an RBI single in the second to score Burdick.
The Majettes (4-4 overall, 2-4 WDA) broke the game open in the fifth. They loaded the bases with no outs and Burdick followed with a two-run single to second that scored Nygaard and Anderson. Conklin brought in Darby Mowbray with a flyout to left and two more runs came in on a groundout to shortstop off the bat of Burdick.
Anderson picked up the win in the circle, allowing three runs and striking out six for the complete-game victory.
In the nightcap, the Majettes needed just seven hits to manufacture 17 runs, drawing 10 walks and getting hit twice. Mowbray and Anderson each finished with a pair of hits. Burdick led Minot High with two RBIs, while Nygaard, Mowbray, Conklin and Layla Dosch each added one.
Winter Day accounted for half of Turtle Mountain’s hit production, going 3-for-4 with a home run, a triple and a double, coming just a single short of the cycle. She drove in one and scored twice. Day had the only extra-base hits for either team in Game 2.
