Girls Soccer: Julia Lewis nets game-winner for Sentinels in victory over Century
Julia Lewis scored in the 61st minute to break a scoreless deadlock and send the Minot North girls soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Bismarck Century on Tuesday, April 14, at Sanford Sports Complex.
Lewis took a feed from Morgan Orth and split a pair of Patriot defenders before rocketing a shot from 20 yards out into the top left corner of the net past goalkeeper Jocelyn Haider. Lewis has scored five goals this season. She has scored a goal in all five of Minot North’s victories.
Camryn Guy finished with three saves to earn her second shutout victory on the season. Haider made eight saves.
The Sentinels (5-1-0 overall, 5-1-0 WDA) have won three straight matches for the first time in program history.
Minot North travels to play Bismarck High on Tuesday, April 21, at 6 p.m.
