Prep Gymnastics: Minot United takes 2nd at Jamestown Travel Meet
Gracyn Bergan finished third in the vault and third in the all-around and Keira Davis and Pavyn Peterson went 2-3 in the floor exercises as the Minot United gymnastics team took second at the seven-team Jamestown Travel Meet at the Jamestown Gymnastics Academy on Saturday, Dec. 3
Minot United finished with a team score of 142 points. Dickinson won the event with 146.125 points. Jamestown (137.15), Bismarck Century (133.725), Bismarck Legacy (116.025), Northwest Stars (88) and Bismarck High (61.775) rounded out the standings.
Minot United has finished second to Dickinson in all three meets the two have competed against one another. They won the lone meet that the Mavericks were not present. Dickinson has won all four meets it has participated in this season.
Dickinson finished 1-2 in both the vault and the uneven bars with Aspen Roadarmel earning a 9.900 in the uneven bars. She won the all-around with a score of 38.350. Roadarmel was the top performer in both the vault (9.900) and floor exercises (9.700). Dickinson swept the top spot in all events, as Elizabeth Karsky scored a 9.300 to win the balance beam title.
Dickinson’s Charlotte Haapapuro finished second in the all-around with a 35.950 cumulative score.
Minot United’s Adylin Belnap took third in the all-around with a score of 35.575. She placed fourth in the uneven bars and floor exercises and sixth at the balance beam.
Minot United went 2-3-4 in the floor exercise with Davis (9.425), Peterson (9.275) and Bergan (9.175).
