Minot State men’s hockey finishes 2025 No. 2, women No. 5 in nation
The ACHA released its final men’s and women’s Division I national rankings for the 2025 calendar year, and both Beaver teams find themselves in the Top 5 heading into the Christmas break.
The Minot State men’s team (14-1-1 overall) remained the No. 2 team in the nation in the current ACHA Division I men’s poll, while the Minot State women (7-6-5 overall) moved up one spot to No. 5 in the latest ACHA Division I women’s poll.
The Minot State men finish the 2025 portion of their season with a pair of games this week, playing at No. 6-ranked Jamestown tonight at 7 p.m., then hosting ACHA Division II Lake Region State in an exhibition game on Saturday at the All Seasons Arena at the North Dakota State Fairgrounds at 6:30 p.m.
The Minot State women have finished their 2025 schedule and return to the ice to host No. 10 Jamestown on Friday and Saturday, January 9 and 10, at All Seasons Arena at the North Dakota State Fairgrounds. Puck-drop both days is slated for 3:45 p.m.
Ohio climbed two spots to the top of the men’s poll this week, while the Beavers remained No. 2, former No. 1 Niagara (N.Y.) slipped to No. 3, UNLV remained No. 4, and Drury (Mo.) held strong at No. 5.
In the women’s poll, the top four teams remained the same with Liberty (Va.) at No. 1, Midland (Neb.) at No. 2, McKendree (Ill.) at No. 3, and Maryville (Mo.) at No. 4. The Beavers switched places with Michigan-Dearborn, climbing to the No. 5 spot.
